Medical Revenue Collections Specialist Position Available In Broward, Florida

Medical Revenue Collections Specialist Medical Decision Services 2890 West State Road 84, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and experienced DME medical Collection and Billing specialist for our Fort Lauderdale office. Main responsibility will be maintaining a timely and accurate account receivable claims/system within our Brightree billing system.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensures daily accomplishments contribute toward company goals for A/R
• Follow up on all denials with 72 hours of receipt
• Researches outstanding balances and takes necessary collection actions to resolve in a timely manner.
• Researches assigned correspondence; takes necessary action to resolve requests
• Utilizes the most efficient resources to secure timely payment of open claims.
• Identifies patterns of short-payment or non-payment and escalates issues to management
• Reviews insurance remittance advices for payment accuracy
• Answer customer billing inquiries by phone
• Identifies billing errors, short payments, over payments, unpaid claims, and resolves accordingly
• Reviews residual balances after payments are applied and generates necessary adjustments, overpayment notification, refund requests, and/or secondary billing as needed.
• Works within specified deadlines and stressful situations.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Highly skilled and organizing and prioritizing
• Candidate must have knowledge of durable medical equipment billing, denials, audits, Reconsiderations, collections, AR and be proficient in creating Brightree ADHOC reports
• Comprehensive understanding of various insurance plans and benefits for the different payors (Medicare, Medicaid, CareCentrix)
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)
