Job Description
Responsibilities Manage a B2B collection portfolio to ensure payments are received within terms while minimizing risk and bad debt exposure Independently handle accounts for Fortune 500 companies, Big Box retailers, Professional Sports Teams, and Leagues Build relationships with key customers and internal departments (Sales, Customer Service) Conduct collection calls via phone, email, and customer portals to secure payments and resolve payment issues Provide invoice copies, reconcile accounts, and perform general accounting duties to facilitate payments Establish payment plans with customers to resolve aged outstanding items Coordinate with cross-functional teams to accelerate the collection process Negotiate and resolve customer disputes while documenting root causes Monitor customer accounts to identify payment issues and develop resolution strategies Perform weekly account reconciliations Identify customers at risk of defaulting to prevent further financial exposure Investigate and clear customer chargebacks, deductions, and offsets (including GL coding) Maintain detailed documentation of all communications Mentor AR Collections Analysts Handle complex customer issues and reduce delinquency in assigned portfolio Work on-site four days per week (Monday-Thursday in Tampa office, Friday remote) Qualifications Comfortable communicating directly with customers via phone and email Strong ownership and problem-solving abilities Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables Clear and effective professional communication skills with all levels of management Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Independent worker requiring minimal supervision Team player with a positive attitude Experience handling complex customer issues
