forms for auto and work comp, ensuring proper documentation attachment Organize, review, and scan superbills efficiently Assist in communication with coders regarding missing documentation Handle trauma accounts, including creating accounts, importing records, and verifying inpatient/outpatient status and insurance information Verify authorization and collections for surgeries by running a daily schedule Maintain fee schedules, updating computer systems with the latest contracted rates and Medicare rates Aid in patient collections, payment plans, and distribution of billing-related mail Monitor accounts with letters of protection, coordinating communication with patients, attorneys, and staff Receive and assist staff calls from other departments, connecting them with the appropriate billing team member Crosstrain in various billing subgroups for effective coverage and assistance when needed
