The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented and skilled professional who wants to play a vital role in optimizing revenue collection.

Our office includes a full Physical Therapy and Occupational/Hand Therapy division, which work in close coordination with our physicians to provide non-operative, preoperative, post-operative and preventive care.

Responsibilities:

Perform follow-up of outstanding claims identified through aging reports Review and respond to denied charges Work with coders to correct any coding related denials Submit appeals and documentation as needed via online portal, fax or mail Contact patients as necessary to resolve claims issues Accurately transfer credits to balances Process refund requests Identify and communicate with billing director regarding denial trends, and carrier issues relating to billing and reimbursement Stay up-to-date with changes to insurance company policies and coding requirements Contribute to team effort to achieve optimal results Promote effective working relations, and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to insure a professional, responsible and courteous environment Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED required Minimum of 1 year experience with insurance, billing and collections Understanding of medical terminology and insurance laws/guidelines Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical, organizational and time management skills Strong team player Ability to learn quickly, build and maintain long term relationships, and work with minimal supervision
