ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Biller position is responsible for billing, collecting posting and managing account payments for one or more facilities within the organization. The candidate will be responsible for following up with insurance companies for payments on pending account receivables .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares and submits claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper. Answers questions from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies Identifies and resolves insurance/patient billing complaints. Ensures all documents are submitted for proper billing: insurance verification forms, office notes and encounters/superbills. Reports delinquent accounts to Revenue Cycle Manager Performs various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers. Processes payments from insurance companies and directs paper checks to the appropriate staff member. Participates in educational seminars and staff meetings. Maintains strictest confidentiality adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Such other tasks as the company may require and/or as needs evolve. Provide back-up for departmental positions as needed. Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.

years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Proficiency in MS Office using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Self-Motivated with a desire to excel in a fast-paced goal driven work environment. Project and time management skills with demonstrated ability to reliably meet deadlines. Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English. Bilingual is a plus.
