Medical Billing and Collections Specialist Miami Associates in Pediatric Surgery, PA 3200 SW 60th Court, Miami, FL 33155 Miami Associates in Pediatric Surgery is looking to hire a Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. We offer health insurance benefits, paid time off, and 401K. Medical Billing and Collection Specialists are responsible for all functions related to the billing and collection of payment on patient accounts. Duties are generally assigned on a primary basis, but all personnel are cross-trained and may perform functions in the various business segments.
Responsibilities:
Billing and Collections Accounts Receivable Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility Document all calls timely and accurately in the patients’ account in the billing system Establish payment arrangements per company policy Manage outstanding self-pay accounts and status for management Perform insurance claim follow-ups for insurance denials and appeals Contact insurance companies to check eligibility and benefits via phone or online portals
Required Skills:
Proficiency with computers and medical billing software Understanding of ICD-10 and CPT Codes Communication skills with patients/insurance companies Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and Commercial insurance Must possess knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s) and understanding of copays, coinsurance, deductibles and denial codes. Attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize independently The ability to multi-task and in a busy office environment Proficient customer service skills
Qualifications:
Experience-2 years in medical billing / collections required Excellent customer service skills
Bilingual English/Spanish Job Type:
