This position oversees order processing and charge capture activities on the revenue cycle management team.

Responsibilities:

Supervises the charge capture team leads and specialists, ensuring that all charges are captured accurately and in compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines. Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve processes. Conducts performance evaluations, provide feedback, and mentor staff. Collaborates with other departments, such as billing, to address discrepancies and optimize workflows. Monitors departmental performance through audits and data analysis to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Stays updated on changes in healthcare regulations and payer guidelines, ensuring compliance. Mentors and assists the charge capture team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of charges. Provides support and guidance to team members, addressing questions and resolving escalated issues. Monitors team performance and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines. Coaches and trains new staff members and provides ongoing education on departmental processes. Monitors/ Conducts regular audits to ensure accuracy in charge capture and identify areas for improvement. Collaborates with billing, coding, and operations team to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices. Processes the most complex charges and troubleshoot discrepancies between documentation and charges. Leads process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Monitors payer guidelines and changes in billing regulations to ensure compliance. Provides regular reports on charge capture accuracy and potential areas for improvement. Resolves discrepancies between documentation and charges, collaborating with operations team to address issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred 4-8 years of experience, preferred Knowledge of financial processes, systems, controls, and work streams. Experience working collaboratively in a finance environment coupled with strong internal controls. Possesses understanding of service level goals and objectives when providing customer support. Ability to respond to non-standard requests from vendors and customers.
