We are seeking a motivated AR Billing Specialist to join our administrative team and support our mission of delivering compassionate, specialized care. Job Summary The AR Billing Specialist is responsible for posting insurance payments, managing denials, following up on unpaid claims, and collecting patient balances. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and accounts receivable, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting families in a pediatric healthcare setting. Responsibilities Post incoming insurance payments and reconcile patient accounts Review and resolve claim denials and rejections Conduct timely insurance follow-ups on outstanding claims Contact patients to collect outstanding balances and establish payment plans when needed Maintain accurate records in the billing system and generate AR reports Respond to patient and insurance inquiries professionally and promptly Ensure all processes comply with HIPAA and relevant billing regulations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing/accounts receivable Strong knowledge of insurance payments, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and denial management Experience with patient balance collections preferred Familiarity with pediatric or specialty billing is a plus Proficiency with EHR and billing software systems Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
