Job Description

A leading international law firm is looking for a Billing Specialist to join their Revenue team on a hybrid schedule in their Orlando office. This full-time position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Overview:

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for generating and processing client invoices for a variety of attorneys. The role requires occasional overtime flexibility.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare client invoices using billing systems and manage paper-based billing tasks. Submit invoices and accruals electronically via different e-billing platforms. Respond to billing and accounting inquiries from attorneys and staff. Review and edit pre-bills per attorney and secretary requests. Manage a high volume of complex billing tasks, ensuring accuracy. Confirm the accuracy of billing data and supporting documents. Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting as requested. Attend required training and development sessions. Provide support for other department activities as needed.

Skills & Attributes:

Understanding of basic accounts payable practices and related software (e.g., Chrome River). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage shifting priorities. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Exceptional attention to detail and effective time management. Client-focused with strong relationship-building abilities across teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of billing experience, ideally within a law firm. Familiarity with billing software, such as Aderant, is a plus. Previous experience with collections is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems.
