We are currently seeking Billing Specialists to join our team and grow their careers in a variety of specialized roles: Available Billing Specialist Roles Billing Reimbursement Specialist As a Billing Reimbursement Specialist , you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts receivable systems for Morse Geriatric Center and The Tradition.

Key Responsibilities :

Input and maintain daily census data into the accounts receivable software to generate accurate monthly billings. Manage and update all billing-related correspondence and system documentation. Generate and mail monthly resident billings. Maintain subsidiary ledgers for all payer sources. Apply payments from various sources (Private Pay, Medicaid, Medicare, Day Care, Hospice, VA, etc.) and reconcile with cash receipts. Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger on a monthly basis. Physician Billing Specialist As a Physician Billing Specialist , you will manage, coordinate, and process all physician billing activities to ensure accurate and efficient revenue capture.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee the systems and processes for physician billing. Collaborate with physician schedulers to ensure accurate billing information. Manage and update the physician billing software systems. Audit and verify appropriate coding and billing, consulting with nurse practitioners as necessary. Process refunds for credit balances and maintain accurate system documentation. Hospice Billing Specialist As a Hospice Billing Specialist , you will manage and process all billing for Hospice and Palliative Care services. Experience with ICD-10 coding is required.

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately and efficiently enter all charges to ensure proper records handling and prompt payment responses. Address payer denials, research billing issues, and consult with patients and their families as needed. Post payments promptly and prepare invoices for client-paid products. Respond to billing inquiries from patients and resolve discrepancies. Track incoming payments, generate financial statements, and reconcile billing accounts with accounts receivable ledgers. Send billing reminders for outstanding accounts and manage private pay collections. Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2 to 5 years of experience in billing or a related field, or a one-year certificate from a college or technical school with 3 to 6 months of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will also be considered. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer billing processes preferred. Experience with ICD-10 coding is required for the Hospice Billing Specialist role. Why Join MorseLife Health System?
