Work on-site in the Wellington area Have 2+ years of experience in medical coding Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Coder (CRC), and/or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) is a plus
Responsibilities Include:
Update patient data, develop payment plans, and prepare invoices Ensure patients are billed quickly and accurately Process insurance claims, denials, and verifications within the standard monthly billing statement cycle timeframe Perform A/R follow-up timely and accurately to ensure prompt payment Be proficient in medical coding (ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS) and billing software (Athena, Modernizing Medicine, AdvancedMD, Office Practicum, etc.) Utilize
ICD-10 CM
codes on patient’s medical records for medical coding purposes Contact other medical institutions for pending patient information Review patient’s records for HEDIS and MRA Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Comply with the standards and procedures of medical coding rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned, modified, and potentially expanded at the company’s administration discretion
