As a Senior Director, Billing in Last Mile at RXO, youll be responsible for leading the operational billing, audit and recovery/collection teams. The main objective is accurate and timely invoicing with follow-up, resolution and collection of short-paid or unpaid invoices. Most customers are large, complicated customers with unique characteristics, billing requirements and customer systems. This position will initiate, lead and drive action directly with the team, customers and other internal groups within RXO (commercial accounts, IT, operations, offshore shared services, finance, etc.).What your day-to-day will look like:
Resolve and remove both long-term blockers and day to day obstacles for the teamDrive process improvement through understanding the technology and billing/business processWork closely with finance to identify, track and report and mitigate risks, opportunities and areas where additional help is neededEstablish and oversee effective processes, procedure and practicesAssist in business integration; this includes clarifying client start-ups, technology process and integrationEnsure billing deadlines are met as weekly revenue is reported to the business unit each Thursday for the prior weeks activityWhat youll need to excel:
At a minimum, youll need:7 years of experience in billing, collections, audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable or transportation/logisticsThe ability to develop customer and cross-departmental relationships to achieve objectivesTo embrace people development and cross training to effectively manage turnover and PTO. In addition, youll promote a positive culture and team environment.
Comfort with ambiguous challenges that require a new solution and establishment of a process outside of current norms.
