SUMMARY This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting of incoming and outgoing of payments related to physician services, as well as self-pay payments for both physician and hospital services. This position reports to the Manager of Cash Applications (EMCF) and then to Director, Revenue Cycle Quality, Strategy, and Analytics (Grady).

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED One (1) or more year job related experience including Previous experience in medical payment posting or in an accounting/bookkeeping specialty area in a highly productive environment. Proficient in healthcare insurance billing and reimbursement guidelines. Proficient in using Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) System and billing software. Aptitude for figures, excellent attention to detail, and strong data entry skills. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn new systems and programs. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Position requires a motivated individual with a positive outlook and exceptional work ethic.
