Full Job Description Summary:
The Specialized Foster Care Billing Coordinator is primarily responsible for day-to-day billing and foster parent reimbursement processing.
Position Details:
Full Time position Department
- Specialized Foster Care Reports to Executive Director of Children and Family Services Located in Atlanta Remote with some on-site required, Travel (0
- 10%) Monday through Friday; 8:30AM
- 5:00PM Annual Compensation
- $50,000 annually
Responsibilities:
Ensure youth have the correct program designations Ensure all waivers remain current and are correctly documented in Ga Score, Ga. SHINES databases, and in extendedReach Prior Authorization tracking Complete aging report review and follow up Ensure all foster parent reimbursements are processed in a timely manner including foster parent per diem, clothing reimbursements, and other miscellaneous payments. Completes monthly billing with DHS and MAAC. Monitor grants and in-kind donations and ensure appropriate reconciliation. Work in partnership with the Executive Director of Children and Family Services, Specialized Foster Care Assistant Director, Foster Care Case Managers, Georgia Department of Human Services, MAAC and the Lutheran Services of the Carolinas to ensure accurate and timely fiscal management including cost reporting. Work with Office Manager on fiscal projects as needed. Recommend process improvements for daily fiscal operations and procedures to support progressive accounting practices and financial forecasting. Prepares monthly budget to actuals report for grants to management, works with program leadership to ensure compliance with the budget. Prepare charts, graphs, and matrices for management as required to track activity and financial projections. Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally. Performs related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in social work, or related field. A minimum of 2 years’ case management experience including applying for and maintaining RBWO waivers. Knowledge and ability to utilize and monitor financial systems and databases such as Ga SHINES, Ga Score, and SMILES. Ability to maintain a positive attitude while completing challenging work. Experience with gathering and reporting accurate financial data to improve fiscal management programs. Experience monitoring financial information to support grant operations. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple program managers and staff. Ability to respond quickly and flexibly to changing financial requirements. Excellent computer skills, accurate typing, and proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong attention to details and analytical skills. Physical Demands:
