REPORTS TO
Billing Supervisor SUMMARY:

To carry out all aspects of Pathology RCM. Ensure the billing operations are performed in an accurate and timely manner through the review of RCM reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support all Billing tasks and activities with the outsourced RCM Service

  • Telcor Enter the necessary information for insurance claims (patient demographics, insurance information, diagnosis/treatment codes/ modifiers etc.

) Monitor insurance claims for missing information, and investigate, and correct. Conduct insurance follows ups using your working knowledge of working insurance denials/prior authorization. Identify payer trends and regularly share findings with the Billing Supervisor. Work credit balances Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two

  • three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience a must.
Computer skills required:

Medical Billing Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Other skills required: A strong understanding of medical terminology (ICD-9/ICD 10, CPT codes) A clear understanding of the Revenue Cycle Management workflow process within and outside company. An understanding of HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid Compliance guidelines. Ability to site for long periods of time.
