Billing Specialist Position Summary Supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization by efficiently and effectively processing accounts receivable billing. Partners with various functions to provide timely and accurate processing of revenue cycle workflows to facilitate whole patient care, maximize financial performance, and support the vision and mission of the organization. Ensures understanding of payer requirements and reviews all necessary documentation to facilitate best in class service, wholistic patient care, and accurate billing as efficiently as possible. Reviews billing documentation to ensure all necessary items are available and they meet payer guidelines to facilitate “clean” billing to our payors. Ensures claims are received, processed, and released from clearing house. Collaborates with frontend team members, providing feedback, guidance, and training as needed. Prioritizes internal or external customer needs, works to find win-win solutions, and communicates in a timely, credible, and transparent manner. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, and stays abreast of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Other duties as assigned. Billing Specialist Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required AA or higher preferred Medical billing/revenue cycle experience strongly preferred
