Billing Clerk Position Available In St. Tammany, Louisiana

Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Clerk for our client in Covington, Louisiana. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations and processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with accounting systems and computerized billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage computerized billing operations with precision and attention to detail.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Respond to inbound calls professionally, addressing inquiries related to billing and accounts.
• Apply appropriate account coding to financial records, maintaining compliance with company standards.
• Support large-scale financial projects, providing expertise in billing and accounting functions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline billing processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
• Adapt to evolving systems and tools to enhance billing workflows as needed. Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and accounting functions.
• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Excellent communication skills for managing inbound calls and client inquiries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Ability to manage account coding with accuracy and consistency.
• Experience working on large-scale financial projects is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in financial documentation.
