The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating timely collections. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while providing excellent support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Duties Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accuracy in billing. Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines. Follow up on unpaid claims, conducting medical collections as necessary to secure payments. Maintain organized medical records and documentation to support billing processes. Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing. Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, coding practices, and healthcare regulations. Skills Proficient in medical billing software and systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (ICD-10, ICD-9), and DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) classifications. Experience in medical office settings with a focus on billing processes. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Knowledge of medical collection practices and procedures.
