Medical Billing Specialist Roessel Joy Woburn, MA 01813 Overview Roessel Joy is looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to support a growing homecare team. This role is responsible for managing the full billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and following up on outstanding accounts. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of medical billing experience, with strong knowledge of insurance requirements and prior work in a homecare or home health environment. Responsibilities Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to various payers (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance) Review and correct claim errors and denials to ensure timely reimbursement Conduct regular follow-up on unpaid or denied claims Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations Maintain patient billing records in compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing discrepancies Generate patient statements and respond to billing inquiries Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a homecare setting Strong knowledge of insurance billing procedures, coding, and claim follow-up Familiarity with EMR and billing software systems. Waystar or Kinnser preferred.
