Patient Billing Representative (Billing/Charge Posting/Coding) Paragon Surgical Specialists Concord, NC 28025

Position Overview :

Paragon Surgical Specialists is an independent physician-owned surgical practice in Concord, NC. We specialize in general, breast, and colorectal surgery, and we offer wound and vein care services. This full-time (Monday- Friday) position is primarily responsible for reviewing, approving and posting of all medical provider professional charges for surgical procedures and hospital evaluation and management services. (Surgeries, hospital rounding, outpatient wound care charges). This position will also be responsible for generating patient statements and assisting with patient financial queries and patient account analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Code and post all surgery and hospital provider charges Post patient checks and process patient refunds as needed Discuss financial matters with patients (required deposits, copays, outstanding balances, payment schedules, self-pay policies) Process patient billing Act as a back-up and fill-in for Insurance Claims specialist

Minimum Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalency Experience with HCPCS Level I (CPT) and ICD-10 coding required Have adequate knowledge of surgical procedures, general medical terminology and related diagnoses
