Medical Billing Specialist Truentity Health Pittsboro, NC 27312 • Hybrid work Company Overview We are a rapidly growing medical group running a specialized healthcare program and seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist contractor with direct experience using Athena EHR and RCM tools. This part-time role is primarily remote, but North Carolina-based candidates are preferred for occasional in-person meetings (approximately once per month – location tbd).

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and resolve claim holds in Athena for a specific medical program Use Athena’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) tools for claim tracking, resolution, and reporting Communicate with payers to correct and reprocess claims as needed Monitor claim status and trends, escalating issues as appropriate Generate and review RCM reports to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement

Qualifications:

Required:

Hands-on experience with Athena EHR and Athena RCM tools Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid billing Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills, especially in working with payers Ability to work independently with minimal supervision No coding or claim creation duties required
