Job Description
- Successful dermatology practice is seeking an energetic, highly motivated medical biller.
- Responsibilities include:
- Verify and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies-Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and skills
- Medical billing experience
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
