• Successful dermatology practice is seeking an energetic, highly motivated medical biller.
• Responsibilities include:
• Verify and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies-Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing
• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems
• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries or disputes
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and skills
• Medical billing experience
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
• Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
• Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
