McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist to work in a hybrid role for the Revenue Cycle Management department at its headquarters in Charlotte, NC . How will you help us achieve our mission?
You will:
Identify, research, and resolve claim denials; initiate appeals and follow up to secure payment. Analyze denial trends and root causes; recommend and implement process improvements. Ensure compliance with payer, state, and federal guidelines for behavioral health claims. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding. Verify patient insurance eligibility and pre-authorizations; Submit clean claims, reconcile payments, and address underpayments or payment discrepancies. Stay current on payer requirements and behavioral health billing best practices. Support patient account inquiries and provide billing statements. Assist with insurance verification, collections, and AR follow-up. Participate in staff training on denial prevention and RCM workflows. What are the qualifications needed for this role? Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred Experience in behavioral health/SUD billing and denial management preferred. Knowledge of insurance billing, coding, and payer guidelines. CRCR Certification preferred. What we offer you as an employee:
