Medical Billing Specialist Wilmington Surgical Associates PA 2739 Iron Gate Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412 Join Our Dynamic Surgical Practice as a Billing Specialist! Our fast-paced Surgical practice is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to enhance our Insurance Team. In this role, you’ll manage patient balances with professionalism, secure timely payments, handle insurance payer accounts receivable, and obtain surgery authorizations. A working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Send billing statements via software or print paper statements as requested. Review schedules to secure referrals, authorizations, and insurance eligibility, and inform patients of balances before appointments or surgeries. Assist patients with benefit coordination and resolve issues. Post patient and insurance payments in the EMR system. Obtain authorizations from insurance payers. Manage delinquent accounts by setting up payment plans Handle Self Pay and Insurance Payer Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely collections, claim corrections, appeals, and payments.
