Job Description

Medical Administrative Assistant and Medical Billing WakeROC Raleigh, NC 27609 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional who can perform front desk support and perform full cycle of Medical Billing. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification, and office management practices. Time will be split between front desk duties and medical billing. Duties Answering multi-line phones Patient scheduling Patient check in/out Patient payment posting Insurance verification Patient reminder calls Benefits investigation and prior authorizations for specialty services. New Patients and follow-up eligibility verification. Verify Eligibility and relay coverage and patient responsibility to patient while maintaining positive patient relationships. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their accounts, including billing inquiries and payment plans. Follow up on unpaid claims, resolving any discrepancies or issues with insurance providers. Be able to perform all billing activities from submission of claims, posting payments, resolving and follow up of denied claims and resubmission of claims. Requirements Proven experience in front desk support and medical billing within a medical office setting. Familiarity with medical collection practices and procedures. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and insurance representatives effectively. Candidate must have prior experience in working at a medical practice, multi-task, must be pleasant with upbeat personality, possess excellent communication and coordination skills.
