Job Description
Customer Service Representative I – Utility Billing 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Center, NC JOB Brunswick County Utility Billing Department is currently accepting applications for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing customer applications for water services and assisting with the set-up and maintenance of customer accounts.
Work includes:
Collecting payments for water and sewer usage.
Verifying and posting payments and charges to customer accounts.
Daily balancing of cash drawer.
Preparing daily cash reports and end-of-day bank deposit reports and tracking weekly and monthly bank deposit totals.
Preparing and maintaining a variety of records and files.
Addressing customer questions regarding routine requests for information. The Customer Service Representative will have frequent and direct interaction with utility customers, both in person and by phone. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide a high level of customer service while exercising tact and courtesy when dealing with the public is required. This position reports directly to the Deputy Utility Billing Manager.
