The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a Premium & Billing Service Processor II to join our Group Protection Operations Team supporting Workplace Solutions in a remote environment.

Background Details:

The Group Protection Operations Team will help you grow your group benefits knowledge and establish strong partnerships (internally/externally) while working in this fast-paced environment. As a Premium & Billing Service Processor, you will be responsible for managing complex premium and billing applications which may include configuration/setup of new accounts in the applicable systems as well as researching discrepancies, conducting analysis to determine root cause; and ensuring all information is complete and in good order. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you’ll be doing
You will manage more complex premium & billing cases, which may include specific assigned accounts, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meeting departmental quality/production standards while ensuring proper completion including researching deep issues and that the information is in good order. You will troubleshoot issues with premium & billing to identify more complex root cause and issue resolution. In addition, you will create reports and excel spreadsheets for data reporting and problem solving and/or self-billed templates for assigned accounts.
You will collaborate with customers, TPAs, brokers and/or internal partners to clarify any discrepancies’ or address other issues. You will partner with junior team members on premium & billing tasks and provide responses and a diverse range of information to team members’ questions to support organizational capabilities. You will escalate increasingly complex premium & billing issues/concerns to more senior team members and/or management. You will identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality. What we’re looking for
Must-have experience (Required):
High School diploma or GED or minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience. 2 – 3 Years of billing, premium, and/or reconciliation experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice-to have Experience (Preferred): Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt as needed. Ability to articulate/alter provisions – comfortable with contract language. Application Deadline

The pay range for this position is $20.77 -28.08 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
