Billing Specialist/ Administrator Authentically You Counseling, LLC New Hampshire • Remote Job Overview At Authentically You Counseling, we value compassionate, client centered work. As a Billing Specialist and Office Administrator, your role will be crucial in assisting the billing manager with daily tasks like verifying insurance benefits, working with a wide range of private insurance companies to investigate denied or rejected claims, resolving claims within our EHR System TherapyNotes and other insurance provider sites, respond to client emails, and checking the designated voicemail for the billing department. There is room for growth to a assistant manager position within the next 6 months as we now have locations in Concord NH, Portsmouth NH, and via Telehealth. This position is fully remote, and does require the candidate to reside in New Hampshire or NE (MA, CT, VT, ME). Duties Investigate denied claims by private insurances like Anthem BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum/ UnitedHealthCare, CIGNA, Tufts, UMR, and more. Process and track client card payments via TherapyNotes. Reach out to clients whose cards decline or who have overdue balances. Respond to client and clinician billing inquiries through the designated billing department email and voicemail. Meet regularly with Billing Department Manager to assess each clinicians billing aging reports Verify insurance benefits when needed. Assist with clinician credentialing when needed. Skills At least 6 months+ of experience working as an medical insurance biller. Has experience communicating with insurance companies and using provider websites like Availity, Evernorth, Optum Provider Express, and more. Technologically competent (This is a fully remote role!) Available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for at least 3 hours per day starting August 23rd. Empathetic, compassionate, and willing to learn! Experience working in mental health is preferred. As we are a mental health office, it is extremely important to communicate with clients with sensitivitiy and understanding. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
