Billing Clerk OCA Behavioral Health Services, llc. Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting various departments with their billing needs. Duties Process and manage billing statements and invoices accurately and timely. Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Utilize financial software, including PeopleSoft and QuickBooks, for efficient billing operations. Code invoices and payments according to established procedures. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to billing and accounts. Maintain organized records of all billing transactions and communications. Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency. Stay updated on financial concepts and governmental accounting practices as necessary. Qualifications Proficiency in financial software such as PeopleSoft and QuickBooks is preferred. Strong understanding of account reconciliation, coding, and account analysis. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on phone etiquette. Familiarity with financial concepts relevant to billing processes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Previous experience in a billing or accounting role is a plus but not required.
