The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical records, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical billing systems, coding practices, and the ability to work collaboratively within an office environment. Responsibilities Process and manage billing for patient accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Review and verify patient records for completeness and correctness. Utilize coding systems such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 to ensure proper billing procedures. Handle medical collections by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for billing purposes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) guidelines and their application in billing. Prepare reports related to billing activities and collections as needed. Assist in training new staff on billing procedures and software systems. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related field is preferred. Experience with HHA exchange is preferred Familiarity with medical records management and office procedures. Proficient in using medical billing software and systems. Knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10

coding standards, and DRG methodologies. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Certification in Medical Billing or Coding is a plus but not required.
