Billing Specialist Position Available In Erie, New York

Headquartered out of Buffalo – we now cover the New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Georgia and Florida markets. We have existing relationships with several major national retail chains, and therefore all of the work is commercial in nature. We seek candidates who truly enjoy working in this accounting field and those that possess attention to detail, time management, and take pride in their work. 5 years of billing experience required. Familiarity with construction terminology preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate. The major functions of the job will include:

Generating and Delivering Invoices:

Creating and issuing invoices for goods or services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing standards.

Processing Payments:

Receiving, recording, and processing payments from customers.

Reconciling Accounts:

Verifying the accuracy of billing statements and reconciling them with financial records.

Resolving Billing Discrepancies:

Investigating and resolving billing issues, such as incorrect charges or missed payments.

Customer Service:

Addressing customer inquiries and providing assistance with billing questions.

Collections:

Assisting with collections on past-due accounts, as needed.

Database Management:

Maintaining up-to-date records of client accounts and payment information.

Reporting:

Preparing reports on billing activity and outstanding balances.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with relevant billing regulations and policies.

Training and Support:

Providing training and support to colleagues or other staff as needed.
