Full Job Description About Us:

We are a primary contract agency providing speech therapy services to the NYC Department of Education. Our mission is to support student success by ensuring the accurate and timely delivery and documentation of special education services across all five boroughs.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Related Services Biller to join our administrative team. The biller will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking claims for services provided under the NYC DOE’s systems and ensuring all documentation meets city, state, and Medicaid compliance standards. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify session notes, attendance, and provider documentation for completeness and compliance. Submit billing for related services via the NYC DOE systems (vendor portal) Monitor rejected or denied claims and follow up to resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation. Maintain secure and organized billing records for audits and reporting. Stay current with DOE and Medicaid billing guidelines and changes in policy.

Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage sensitive student data with discretion and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience billing for NYC DOE Related Services (Speech, OT, PT, etc.) Strong knowledge of SESIS and RSVP platforms. Understanding of Medicaid reimbursement guidelines and compliance standards for related services. Experience working within a primary DOE contract agency. Familiarity with billing for multiple funding sources (DOE, Medicaid, EI, etc.).
