WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Billing and Installations Specialist is responsible for managing the full life cycle of customer billing from installations to invoicing through the processing of payment receipt. Installs new group system coding and re-enrolled case updates (i.e. Group number, accounts, products, plans and rates) Ensures accounts are billed correctly for services offered Creates invoices and distributes them accordingly Applies surplus, credit and/or billing adjustments to invoices when necessary Records and posts payments with extreme focus on accuracy and timeliness Generate payment disbursement reporting (PDR) for vendor fees Manages the status of accounts and balances and identifies inconsistencies Verifies discrepancies and resolves account billing issues Participates in collection efforts for delinquent and short pay accounts Reconciles accounts and perform un-bill / re-bill functions when necessary Manages email inboxes as assigned by the management team Provides polite & courteous customer service as it pertains to payment & billing inquiries Conducts premium testing and cross audit of team members work as defined by management team Assists in process improvements to streamline and/or automate billing operations Complete special projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TEAM

Group benefit insurance knowledge preferred Courteous demeanor, self-driven, extremely reliable, problem solver, able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced time sensitive environment w/shifting priorities & ongoing interruptions Courteous telephone communication skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good typing speed with small error count Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Word

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus two years accounting and/or billing experience highly preferred
