Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Billing Generalist to join our dynamic billing team. This pivotal role supports the full spectrum of revenue cycle operations, ensuring timely and accurate claim processing, denial resolution, insurance follow-up, and patient billing. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in medical billing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. •
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a central point of contact for billing-related communications, including patient/provider inquiries via email, phone, and internal chat Troubleshoot insurance eligibility issues and support related administrative tasks Prepare, review, and submit claims with a focus on accuracy, coding compliance (CPT/ICD-10), and payer-specific requirements Monitor and follow up on denied or rejected claims, supporting collections and resolution workflows Assist with patient invoicing, billing inquiries, and account clarifications Ensure timely filing of claims and escalate risks to the Billing Director Investigate discrepancies in payments and claims, and liaise with payers to resolve issues Identify and flag secondary insurance coverage opportunities Collaborate with senior billing staff on complex denial trends, payer issues, and process improvements Utilize EMR systems (e.g., Credible) and billing platforms to manage claims, payments, and patient accounts Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed •
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations Strong understanding of insurance processes, claim submission, and denial management Proficiency with EMR systems and billing software (experience with Credible is a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving •Why Join Us? Pay:
