We are seeking experienced Medical Billing Specialists to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on full-cycle A/R follow-up and denial management. Candidates must be comfortable working claims from start to finish and navigating payer systems to resolve issues efficiently. Medical Billing Specialist (Contract)
Location:
Hybrid•Doylestown, PA (2-3 days onsite; potential for fully remote based on performance)
Schedule :
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM•4:30
PM Start Date:
Immediate need•3 contractors will be onboarded as a training cohort
Equipment Provided:
Laptop, keyboard, and headset
Key Responsibilities:
Perform A/R follow-up and manage claim denials Review and resolve claims in batched or pending status Utilize insurance portals and/or contact payers directly to resolve issues Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks Process 835s (electronic payment posting) Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate billing
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in medical billing, including A/R follow-up and denial adjudication Strong understanding of payer guidelines, including: PROMISe Commercial insurance Medicare Familiarity with mental health billing Ability to interpret and process 835 files Experience with insurance verification and eligibility tools
