The billing specialist role includes not limited to charge entry, payment posting, working account receivable, vision and medical insurance verification, vision and medical insurance portal billing. Obtaining prior authorizations for procedures. The billing department does help out in other areas of our office when needed. Ophthalmology and optometry experience preferred but not required.
