Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in managing billing processes and ensuring the timely collection of payments from patients and insurance providers. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate, clean claims to insurance companies. Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials. Follow up on outstanding accounts and pursue collections as needed. Communicate professionally with patients and insurance companies to address and resolve billing issues. Maintain thorough and accurate records of all billing and collection activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant billing regulations and internal policies. Answer incoming calls and manage call-back logs, assisting patients with billing inquiries. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections. Strong understanding of medical billing codes, insurance guidelines, and procedures. Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
