Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Overprovisions Representative to join our team supporting the Emergency Services business line. In this role, you will review and process credit balances, refund requests, payment research, and unidentified payments in our ETM system. You’ll also handle incoming calls from insurance companies and patients, and coordinate with Fifth Third Bank as needed. Responsibilities:
Process refunds for guarantors, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers Compile and validate documentation for refund approval Handle incoming customer service calls related to billing and payments Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve credit balances and payment issues Research and resolve issues related to unidentified or misapplied payments Work with bank systems to retrieve and process NSF and cancelled checks Process payment transfers and manage related documentation Escalate complex issues to senior staff or supervisors Participate in team meetings and complete special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) 6+ months of medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle experience (required) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with basic computer systems and office software Able to multitask and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment Accurate 10-key by touch; typing speed of 40-45 WPM Familiarity with Excel (saving/printing spreadsheets) and office machines
