Job Description:

As a Mortgage Debt Collector, you will: Handle billing and collections inquiries. Generate revenue for clients by ensuring timely and accurate payments. Assist consumers in preventing home repossession through financial planning. Perform basic office duties such as faxing documents, typing invoices, and answering phones.

Responsibilities:

Multi-task effectively. Demonstrate proficiency in email etiquette and communication skills. Meet the assigned minimum number of phone calls/attempts/accounts per day. Maintain attention to detail in data entry and recording conversations. Provide clear and concise information to debtors. Exhibit outstanding follow-up skills to maintain consumer/client relationships. Actively listen to consumers. Be familiar with applicable software, FDCPA laws, and state laws. Sit and talk on the phone via a headset for extended periods. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1 year of experience in a call center handling debt collection. Ability to work second shift. Proven performance in calls, contracts, promises, payment overage, and all elements of bank and retail collections (preferred). Ability to work independently from home in a quiet, uninterrupted environment. Understanding of the negotiation process to obtain maximum possible payments. Ability to take constructive criticism and strive for success. High School Diploma or equivalent. Stellar attendance and punctuality are required. Good tenure at previous jobs (2+ years in a relevant field).

Schedule:
Monday-Friday:

11:00 AM – 8:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch One Saturday every 4 weeks: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM Optional and mandatory overtime

Training:

Training will be remote and last approximately 3-4 weeks
