Remote Overview:
The Billing Office Assistant will assist in monitoring and reporting communication between the EMR and Billing System. Provide administrative support with performing account(s) setup for locations and providers in Athena, Payer Portal Administration for CBO staff. Perform special billing assignments which involves claim adjustments and claim resubmissions. Assist in managing and maintaining reports/data files on SharePoint for daily, weekly and monthly reporting to RCM.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in healthcare billing Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Fax, Copying and Email) Detailed understanding of medical billing processes Excellent written and oral communication skills
Working Knowledge of Cash Management Process Education :
Preferred:
Associates’ degree in a health discipline
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent level of work experience

N/A Performance Responsibilities:
Track and manage claims submission errors from EMR to Billing System Perform special billing assignments which involves claim adjustments and claim resubmissions Provide administrative support to Billing System Administrator Assist with creating and managing system processes in adding providers and locations in billing system Provide and Maintain Access to Payor Portals for the CBO Staff Maintain data files/reports on SharePoint for daily, weekly and monthly reports Maintain various tracking logs for CBO Assist in Cash Management Process All other duties as assigned.

Dependent body mobility to access a standard office and medical center environment with shelves and drawers of varying heights Ability to travel regularly by land or air across region of responsibility and other locales as needed to perform job duties Stamina to sit and/or stand up for hours at a time. Vision sufficient to read a computer screen, and printed text and hand-written documents. Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard daily. Ability to speak and hear to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone and in various forms of written communication. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to document, recall, and explain detailed trainings, conversation, or events, and apply oral/written instructions, as needed. Ability to travel to assigned locations as needed and available for meetings at the office as applicable
