Front Desk/Billing Coordinator Dr. Cheryl Aldridge 1829 Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421 Duties We are seeking a Billing Coordinator and Front Desk backup to join our team. As the billing coordinator you will play a crucial role in creating a good rapport with patients/billing parties/insurance companies.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Submitting daily billing claims, following up on claim denials, posting insurance payments.
- Verifying insurance eligibility and notifying responsibility party of benefit changes.
- Greeting and welcoming clients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Answering a large volume of phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate person or department
- Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner Skills To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Must be comfortable asking for payments and making collection phone calls.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phone systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
