Also is responsible for submitting of electronic and manual billings account statements and for follow-up with third-party payers for claims resolution.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides benefit education to patients, parents, and guarantors.
• Accurately prepares cash deposits daily and submits them timely to AP for cash posting.
• Regularly follows up with responsible party on incomplete documentation.
• Requests upfront collections of self-pay deposits from patients both inpatient and outpatient.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in business related field required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
• Prefer knowledge of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and collections. Knowledge and skills working with computerized accounting systems required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.

Skills Proficiency in accounting software and tools for efficient billing management. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries. Experience in financial services or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of technical accounting practices relevant to billing processes. Familiarity with revenue cycle management practices is a plus. Excellent analytical skills for credit analysis and problem-solving. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Benefit Highlights
