The Billing Coordinator will ensure accurate processing of insurance claims, procedure reimbursements, medical records and collections, contributing to the overall efficiency of our healthcare operations. Duties Process and manage insurance claims, medical billing for patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Utilize medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9, to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures. Handle medical collections by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving any discrepancies. Maintain organized medical records, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing issues and improve the overall billing process. Stay informed about changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance. Assist in training new staff on billing procedures and systems as needed. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and other relevant coding systems.
