We are currently seeking a experienced Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team.

ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS

Monitor and report on accounts receivable (A/R) Handle insurance claim negotiations and appeals Manage pay-to-patient collections Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) Enter and track reimbursement data Oversee updates to Coordination of Benefits (COB) Follow up on unprocessed or denied claims Generate and maintain billing and reimbursement reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting is preferred. Experience with A/R and patient collections Proficiency in reimbursement tracking and data entry Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, EOBs, and COBs High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred) Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or behavioral health insurance billing Strong knowledge of insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management Familiarity with behavioral health billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and insurance regulations Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards Experience with both commercial insurance and Medicaid/Medicare is a plus
