Find your value here as the… Manager, Member Resolutions (collections) The Manager, Member Resolutions is responsible for all aspects of the collection and recovery efforts of all consumer and mortgage loans. The Manager, Member Resolutions is responsible for minimizing loss due to delinquencies and defaults on all credit union loans as well as loans serviced by the credit union for investors and loan participants in accordance with all Fair Lending Regulations. Strategic Collections Management:
Devise and implement effective strategies to enhance the recovery of outstanding credit. Recommend and execute improvements for productivity and operational continuity. Manage all assigned assets, including delinquent loans, charged-off loans, repossessed collateral, and REO inventory. Ensure compliance with internal policies and adherence to state and federal regulations related to credit and collections. Work closely with legal, accounting, and customer service teams to resolve complex or escalated issues. Assist in preparing for monthly charge-off review meetings to discuss trends with management. Act as a liaison with attorneys and coordinate collection efforts with relevant external parties.
Team Leadership and Development:
Oversee collections staff, encouraging a culture of high performance and engagement. Conduct performance monitoring, including scorecard reviews, call evaluations, and account reviews. Address escalated calls and complex issues, providing expert guidance and resolutions.
Reporting and Analysis:
Regularly review collection reports to assess the status of collections and outstanding balances. Evaluate the effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records for recovery and liquidation processes. What you need… Strong knowledge and understanding of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Mortgage Servicing, and Secondary Market Requirements as they pertain to default management and loss mitigation. Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently with desire to learn and grow Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and deal tactfully with members. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other federal laws, including but not limited to: US Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets and Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act 5-7 years of experience in residential and consumer loan collections and loss mitigation.
