Position Summary:

As a Manager of Recovery, Legal, and Bankruptcy you will directly supervise staff and work with vendors by monitoring and evaluating work performance and productivity through GH reports, reviews, and ongoing training. Duties will include providing assistance by answering questions and problem solving, analyzing work methods in order to improve staff and vendor(s) effectiveness and maximize utilization, effectively communicating with the management team to reach departmental and corporate goals, complying with corporate policy, and upholding federal and state regulations, and providing leadership in a dynamic environment:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the recovery, legal, and bankruptcy teams.
Manages and approves terms of consent judgments, bankruptcy plans, motions, and other adversary proceedings.
Training of collectors and legal staff in recovery collections.
Properly structures the Bankruptcy, Legal, and Recovery Departments and establishes objectives.
Conduct meetings with other Managers and team members to develop long term and short-term departmental objectives.
Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to keep senior management apprised of performance levels, developing trends, and work loads.
Primarily responsible for ensuring the Recovery, Legal, and Bankruptcy Department’s performance objectives are met, complying with corporate policy, and upholding federal and state regulations.
Develop and execute performance plans to lead and manage teams in ongoing recovery, legal, and bankruptcy operations.
Develop and implement best processes to acquire, train, motivate, and retain staffing talent needed and to properly structure organization for optimal results.
Establish, monitor, and report performance and operational metrics with regards to both third party vendors and internal collections group.
Set and communicate business goals and expectations with third party vendors.
Create and provide reports and projections.

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years managing in Retail Banking with a minimum of 3 years in Bankruptcy management.
Minimum of 5 years of management, supervisory and collection experience required.

Education:

Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required.

Skills Required:

Requires competent knowledge of bankruptcy laws and state regulations. This knowledge is normally acquired through experience and on the job training. Must have an understanding in the practical application of these laws and regulations necessary to communicate with internal and external customers.
Requires basic computer skills as well as knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Access.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate, guide, teach, train, and motivate direct reports.
Has knowledge of skip tracing, collections, FDCPA and state collection laws. Travel 0-10% – as required on an as needed basis.
Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities:

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed.
