We are a regional leader in consumer installment and real estate lending, proudly serving our communities for over 70 years. We are seeking a motivated Collections and Recovery Team Lead to spearhead our recovery efforts and legal collections process.
Position Overview:
The Collections and Recovery Team Lead will oversee collections staff, direct legal recovery actions, and drive branch performance. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on legal collections management to maximize recoveries and uphold company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and mentor collections staff across branch locations. Oversee legal recovery efforts, including: o Filing and pursuing small claims lawsuits. o Appearing before justices of the peace and municipal courts. o Pursuing garnishments and post-judgment remedies. Train and support branch collectors in best collection practices. Push collectors to achieve recovery rate targets and maintain accountability. Assist with escalated and complex collection cases. Analyze trends and provide regular reports to management. Collaborate on repossessions, foreclosures, and recovery of real estate secured loans.
Qualifications:
3+ years of collections experience with supervisory responsibilities. Experience with legal recovery actions and court processes preferred. Strong knowledge of collection laws and recovery strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Proficiency with collections software and MS Office.
