About the role Vertical Supply Group is seeking an experienced Credit and Collections Manager to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Greensboro, NC. An ideal candidate will have experience in leading the Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable function in an international company with multiple subsidiaries, ERPs, banking platforms, and currencies. The ideal candidate is someone who has had business experience in business transformations as it relates to the Credit, Collections and Accounts Receivable functions with experience in ERP implementations and integrations, acquisitions, and process improvement and standardization. We are looking for a candidate that can grow with the company. This person will report to the Corporate Controller and will lead a team of four Credit and Collections personnel. This is a full-time position in the Greensboro office!

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of four Credit and Collection Team members. Manage and lead Credit and Collections function for six subsidiaries in multiple ERP’s and banking platforms. Manage and oversee customer tax exemption compliance in all jurisdictions related to Sales and Use Tax (US), Good and Service Tax (Canada), Value-Added Tax (UK), etc. Prepare 13-week cash collections forecast Produce financial reporting for key performance indicators such as DSO, collections trending and analysis, past due percentage, etc. Lead process improvement and initiative related Credit and Accounts Receivable including but not limited to ERPs, banking platforms, etc. Create, implement and oversee compliance with Credit, Collections and Accounts Receivable policies and internal controls Lead Accounts Receivable close function with a global 1 day close. Perform account reconciliations and journal entries included but not limited to AR Accruals, credit card payments, customer incentives and coops taxes and AR subledger to General Ledger reconciliation in accordance with monthly calendar deadlines. Lead the Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Credit integration process on all mergers and acquisitions relating to banking, ERP, Credit Reporting services, etc. Working with third party tax service providers, suppliers, banks, auditors, and internal teams to fulfill ad hoc requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with: Credit and Collections leadership in an international organization with a heavy ecommerce presence. Credit and Collections management of multiple subsidiaries across multiple ERPs and banking platforms Experience with third party payment processing for credit card transactions. Experience with basic accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations Process improvement and Credit, Collections and AR Automation experience Experience with Accounts Receivable systems integrations and implementations Experience with AR in ERP systems (NetSuite, Syteline) Experience assessing and mitigating Credit Risk Scaling their workload and abilities with the growth of the organization Strong attention to detail.
