Credit & Collections Manager 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Branchville, NJ 07890 • Remote Remote role available! Our client in Sussex, NJ is seeking a Collections/Billing Manager on a contract basis. This role oversees the status and aging of direct and agency-billed balances, manages relationships with third-party collection vendors, and minimizes bad debt write-offs. The Collections/Billing Manager will a lead team in handling Direct Bill, Agency Bill, Cash, and External Collections, ensuring compliance with SLAs and approving exceptions to standard processes. The Collections/Billing Manager will also manage external partnerships, including collection agencies, attorneys, and payment vendors, ensuring effective recoveries and cost management. In addition, the and Collections/Billing Manager will review financial variances, such as past-due balances and charge-offs, compared to targets, creating actionable plans for improvement. Other responsibilities include overseeing complaints, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing cost center budgets. Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing functions, and cash applications. Proficiency in accounting software systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendor relationships effectively, including collection agencies and attorneys. Solid financial analysis skills with the ability to track and address variances in performance metrics. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to insurance receivables and collections. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and development. Strong communication and negotiation abilities, particularly in legal and financial matters.
