POSITION TITLE

Summer Program Teacher (Literacy, Numeracy, STEM, ACT Prep, Migrant, EL)

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum B.S.

Degree:

Certification in content area. If a part of a state or federal program, must comply with regulations. Working knowledge of computers and software.

REPORTS TO

Principal or Program Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Students Implements Summer Program to promote student achievement. Uses data to drive instruction and remediation. Establish objectives and plan learning experiences. Implement activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. Exhibits positive human relations skills. Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication. Evaluate the educational program and/or student progress. Communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues and community groups. Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy and state and federal rules and regulations. Engage in personal and professional growth and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership. Implement the planning and conduct of daily learning activities within the classroom as defined by the State Course of Study and the Board of Education. Shall perform any other position related duties as assigned. Maintain the confidentiality of student records.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Set by contract.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy of Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
